what exactly is cbd?

Cannabidiol (CBD for short) is a compound found naturally in the hemp (cannabis sativa L) plant. Unlike THC (the active cannabinoid in marijuana), CBD is not intoxicating which means it will not get you high. With over 100 naturally occurring cannabinoids known to exist in the plant, CBD is the most abundant, non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in cannabis. CBD is a mood-altering substance.
